Who Judges the Judges?. When you get to the names of judges on your Colorado ballot, ever scratch your head and wonder how to vote? Who makes those Blue Book recommendations? Can you trust the process? On Jan. 18, join the LWVP and panel members, Dr. Matt Harris, Hon. Gale Miller, Mr. Kent Wagner, Mr. Henry Geisel, and Ms. Lois Adams, to find out more. This nonpartisan educational event on an often overlooked part of our political process starts at 5:30 pm. All welcome.

Making Democracy Work Awards Dinner. Mac and Simone Leng, survivors of the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia, will talk about surviving genocide. With Frances Pilch, a professor emeritus from the US Air Force Academy, the Lengs have co-written "Invisible: Surviving the Cambodian Genocide." Winners of the Making Democracy Work Award also will be announced.

The League of Women Voters believes in open government, and open meetings. If you would like to attend, come on by! We'd love to have you. In order to encourage participation, we've done away with meals at our meetings.
